An Australian and a South African walk into a bar – that’s no joke.
In early 2022, founders Daimien Patterson, an Australian military veteran turned entrepreneur, and Sharne Gous, a South African business owner with a legal background, met unexpectedly on a rooftop in Cape Town. Their shared passion for business and South Africa sparked the creation of Smart Workforce Solutions (SWS).
Together, they saw two problems: high employment costs in Australia and rampant unemployment in South Africa. The solution? Smart Workforce Solutions—providing Australian businesses with exceptional remote staff while creating secure jobs for skilled South Africans.
Smart Workforce Solutions bridges the gap between Australian businesses seeking cost-effective talent and skilled professionals from South Africa. We provide exceptional virtual staff that helps companies scale efficiently, while simultaneously creating sustainable employment for South Africans. This unique approach delivers what we call “The Win-Win-Win”—quality service for our clients and secure jobs for our remote staff.
After rigorous candor, a conclusion was reached, and two distinct issues were waiting to be solved. The first, a low employment rate in Australia, which results in Australian business owners paying through the roof wages for basic employment. The second, a high unemployment rate in South Africa, leaving millions of quality, qualified South Africans without employment.
The good news was, that on the brink of an African sunset on that 27th floor, they found that between an Australian and a South African, the solution was crystal.
SWS, driven by integrity and fairness, was inspired by solving real issues and helping real people. We solve your problems by providing Australian businesses with exceptional employees whilst at the same time providing secure, remote employment for South Africans.
